Our Story

Like many young professionals, the single most common piece of clothing I own and wear is the button down shirt.  Also like many, I noticed my closet was filling up with button down shirts that were never worn.  The reason……uncontrollable, flimsy collars.

As an Orthopedic Surgeon, I spend most of my time fixing problems like broken bones and injured joints, but for some reason this collar dilemma really intrigued me. After much thought and experimentation, I finally realized the splayed collar problem did not originate from the collar flaps, but from the collar ring itself.  In 2014 I put my invention to the test and later that year, The Collar Doc was born.

This patent pending solution combines a transparent, adhesive strip with a flexible, durable wire. Collar Doc will give you the crisp and structured look you desire. It’s affordable, easy-to-use, portable, and works on almost any shirt you own.
